Catalyst Miami packages information about economic benefits (Earned Income Tax Credit and Childcare Tax Credit, Food Stamps, Florida KidCare and many more) and free financial services and takes it into homes, schools and the workplace. Prosperity Centers partner to deliver comprehensive economic services including application assistance, credit repair, financial assistance and homeownership counseling. With funding from Citi Foundation to help parents and students complete the FAFSA online, Catalyst Miami kicks off Financial Aid Awareness Week, February 6-12. Mayor Carlos Alvarez and Chairman Joe Martinez proclaimed Financial Aid Awareness Week in Miami-Dade County to help heighten awareness of the issue, for students and families who may be missing out on financial aid. Catalyst Miami recently assisted parents at the largest FAFSA preparation event called College Goal Sunday on February 20 and 27.
